Performance Task (Summary in G.R.A.S.P.S. form): (T)
Goal: Your task is to choose a partner and create an audio narrative via podcast. You may include multiple voices and sound effects to fully dramatize your creation.
Role: You and your partner are contestants in the hit T.V. show Narrative Idol.
Audience: The target audience is the viewers of Narrative Idol who will cast their "votes" at the end of the contest.
Situation: You and your partner have made it into the final round of Narrative Idol and your team is now competing for the title of the next
Narrative Idol.
Product/Presentation: You and your partner need to develop a narrative and then turn it into a podcast so that you can enter it
in to the Narrative Idol competition.
Standards (criteria from both rubrics): Your product will be judged by the contest judge (the teacher) on the inclusion of literary elements, transitions, grammar/language, participation, time frame and engagement. Your presentation will be judged by the audience (your peers) on promptness, form, and sound quality.

• When learning to interpret by making sense of their own thoughts and ideas students will use graphic organizers to develop outlines of their stories.
• When learning to apply specific literary elements to their own compositions students will use the Jig Saw method to compose a blog of literary terms and their definitions.
•When learning to be open to many forms and styles of writing students will use writing prompts to guide their products.

•When learning to be able to make sense of thoughts and ideas students will use feedback from their teammates to revisit their previous work.

Task Description:(T)
You and your partner have made your way to the final round of Narrative Idol. You are now one of (_) other contestants who will be presenting their narratives also. You will have a live audience (your peers) who will cast their "votes" at the end of the show. You must create a narrative for your presentation during the final round. Your narrative must be presented as a Podcast. Your Podcast must be 10-15 minutes and include three literary elements. You must also submit a copy of your script with a short description of the elements that you included in your Podcast. Your total score will be a combination of the contest judge's score(80%) and the audiences score (20%). You may use any previous prompts to start your story, but all work must be original and designed by both members of the group.
